“And let us not grow weary in doing what is right, for we will reap at harvest time, if we do not give up.” — Galatians 6:9 (NRSV)
It is often in the quiet, unremarkable moments of our day that the most profound work of the heart takes place. While the world celebrates the finished product—the grand opening, the standing ovation, the promotion, or the visible success—God often does sacred work in hidden places long before anyone else notices.
Growth is rarely dramatic. More often, it resembles the slow and persistent push of a seed breaking through soil. It happens in the unseen choices we make day after day: choosing kindness when exhaustion tempts us toward irritation, seeking wisdom when frustration clouds our judgment, offering grace when criticism would come more naturally, and continuing to love even when no applause follows.
When we acknowledge the struggle, the small victories, and the humanity of others, we reflect the heart of God. We participate in a divine kind of attentiveness that says: You matter. Your effort matters. Your heart matters.
In a world that moves quickly and often overlooks the quiet labor of love, God does not overlook it.
God sees the unseen acts of patience.
God notices the weary kindness.
God honors the consistent faithfulness that nobody posts about.
And somehow, through these ordinary moments, God keeps transforming us into people who carry light, mercy, and hope into the lives of others.
So do not underestimate this season of steady becoming.
The roots are growing even when the bloom has not yet appeared.
